Details about this tour

Join us on our Game of Thrones film locations tour where we will show you not only where the series was filmed in Northern Ireland but also the magnificent scenery hidden within our country.
First of all you will make your way to a little fishing village on the coast road called Carnlough. The harbor at Carnlough was featured in season six. No-one goes swimming in the harbor today, but later, one girl just might
From here you make your way to Cushendun Caves. Although this is a stunning location, it is what happened within these caves that so many fans were taken by surprise. The Shadow which is very similar to the Banshee is this area appeared here.

You will then arrive at the Giants Causeway which was not one of the filming locations but nevertheless, this fascinating structure is a must see sight during your time in Northern Ireland.

After here you will make your way to one of the oldest castles built in Northern Ireland. The ruins of Dunluce Castle which has been the inspiration for so many local fantasy writers.

We will then bring you in-land and over to the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge which appears in season six and is a major part to one characters storyline. If you wish to cross the bridge there will be a requirement.

Before we make our way back to Belfast we continue travelling in-land even more, we make our way to the stunning and mystical Dark Hedges where you will get the chance to use some props and imagine that you are disguising yourself to avoid being captured for the Brotherhood! As well as giving a sneak insight into how and where the Game of Thrones scenes were filmed, your guide will also focus on how the series is linked with the history, religion, mythology and mysticism of the areas.
Although Game of Thrones did not do any filming at the Giants Causeway site, as a special bonus we will make a short stop here giving you the chance to experience the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland.

When I just boarded the coach and informed the female tour guide to remind driver to switch on the air-conditioner as I realised the windows were sealed and I would suffered dizziness due to non-ventilated air in the coach. The female tour guide was so rude by replying to request me to sit down immediately and said I not even sit down, how could I knew it was stuffy in the coach.

Booked this tour as we wanted to visit the Giant's Causeway and we’re also GoT fans so this ticked both boxes. Tour left Belfast on time at 9am and we set off. Guide Andrew got straight into the commentary and after the obligatory safety bit, he barely stopped talking for the next 9 hours! Most of the commentary was great and informative and we set about the circa 120 mile round trip with its 8 stops. We were blessed with the most amazing weather that really made the day special. Had it been dreary and raining, it would have made a significant difference to the enjoyment as there is a fair amount of walking involved and lots of spectacular views en-route. The organisation was first rate including pre-booked lunch (should you wish) so that it was ready and waiting when we arrived at the very good pub. At £39 each including entrance to the Giant’s Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, this tour is great value for money. Andrew did a great job and also a shout out for driver Neil who was taking this tour for the first time...

Excellent tour with very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. A lot of walking so be sure to wear good walking shoes. Lunch stop at The Fullerton Arms Pub in Ballintoy was fun with the charm of an Irish pub as well as a Game of Thrones ambiance including the opportunity to sit on the Iron Throne. I was so impressed also to note that it was a dog friendly stop.

Great experience! We have a nice day in Northern Ireland! The theme of the whole day is centered around the shooting scene of the Game of Thrones. The famous attractions of the Giant’s Causeway and the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge are the most naturally stunning of all the sites.

A really fabulous tour. The tour guide, Erin, had lots of obscure, entertaining stories to tell and our driver, Declán, was as skilled and careful as anyone could possibly hope for. The tour deftly merged both Game of Thrones sites with magnificent scenery — sometimes simultaneously. Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, Dark Hedges roadway, castles, caves, waterways. Magnificent. Ample time to enjoy all of the sites.

This was our first tour of Northern Ireland, We had taken the Game of Thrones day tour from Belfast. Initially the tour was fine. Then we stopped at Dunluce Castle for 5 min photo shoot . Although the Guide advised us that its a five minute stop but we three along with 3 other got mixed with crowd of another bus which was also operated by same operator , and we were 3 mins late and were surprised to note that bus has already left, six passengers were left stranded and worried between nowhere. The guide could have easily called us but he preferred to left us. Fortunately the driver of next bus called the company to pick us up as we were six people. Else i believed they would not have cared. They came to pick us again after 25 mins. 1:25 PM we reached Giant causeway and we were told to be back by 2 Pm and that include a 1 miles walk to causway, the guide didnt even bothered to advise us that we would take bus which charges £1 per passenger. After walking half a mile we realised we wont be able to be back by 2 Pm , hence to could not visit the single most imprtant attraction of Northern Ireland.
They would rather stop at stupid stops but made us miss on the only UNESCO world heritage site of IRELAND.

Cant express my disappointment. I felt we were not treated well because we were brown or any other reason.

I completely understand that they need to be on schedule. But the place where they left us, it so small a spot that he wouldnt had to even walk 10 feets to find us.
