Details about this tour

Meet your guide in central Brussels at 1pm to embark on your 3-hour walking tour. Youll start at a famous Belgian chocolate shop to taste some delectable chocolates and learn why Belgium is famous for this mouthwatering treat.
In between your tastings, walk through Brussels to visit the city's must-see sights including the Grand Place, Brussels central square and perhaps most memorable landmarks. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is surrounded by guildhalls, the city's Town Hall and the Breadhouse.
Continue to the Royal Galleries (Galeries Royales St-Hubert), a glazed shopping arcade where you can window shop the glamorous boutiques and stores. Your guide will also show you the famous Manneken Pis statue and explain its interesting significance.
Now back to the main attraction the food! Belgians love their food, and the countrys cuisine is highly regarded throughout Europe. Get a taste of local fare at some local restaurants and cafs. Sample mussels, often served with fresh herbs and flavorful vegetables in a stock of butter and white wine, and enjoy some frites served fresh in paper cones with mayonnaise on the side. Known to most as French fries, frites were actually born in Belgium!
Sink your teeth into a Belgian waffle, prepared with a yeast-leavened butter and topped with whipped cream and strawberries. Wash your food tastings down with some traditional Belgian beer -- Brussels offers an astonishing range of quality artisan brews. Pop into one of the oldest taverns in Brussels to try some for yourself as your guide unravels some of Belgiums biggest beer mysteries.

The sad part was the food tour was cancelled due to lack of people that signed up for the tour ( I was the only one on the tour). But I was invited to join the Chocolate tour for free. I learned a lot about the history of Brussels and chocolate.

this company was very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them

We loved our food tour with Carla! We had a chance to try many classic Belgian dishes and treats as well as learn about the culture and history of Brussels. Our guide was so helpful in making suggestions for dining and drinking on our own and we learned so much during our tour! Highly recommend!

Best tour- simply a must when you're in Brussels! We had a wonderful tour guide, we walked around the city and we knew we'd be trying classic Brussels dishes but didn't realise how much we'd get for the price! Come hungry you will certainly need the room. The tour was a really good way to see parts of the city you wouldn't normally venture to, such as the hidden pubs. Would certainly recommend to anyone :)

We loved this tour! We had the opportunity to try some many different local dishes, beers, desserts and discovered some of the history of Brussels along the way. This has, by far, been one of the most enjoyable food tours we've done through Viator! I highly recommend this tour... and go hungry!

The title does not disappoint. Come hungry because you will not get samples. You will be served full portions. Our guide got us started with a sit down lunch with the local food selections then mussels and all sorts of beer paired to the meal. He showed us the best waffles and made suggestions for dinner options. We ended the tour with visits two Belgian chocolate tastings gives you a chance to take home some fine selections.

Fabulous! The tour guide gave us real insight into Brussels. The food was exceptional and it was wonderful to meet others visiting Brussels. Actually made a couple new friends while eating and chatting. I felt like it was more than just a food tour we learn a lot about Brussels and saw a few different areas as well as the statues

AMAZING!!!!! We met outside a chocolate shop and went right into it. We figured lunch was going to be bite size samples, but it was a full meal and we needed the walk for sure afterwards. We stopped and had some amazing waffles with an amazing beer. Then final stop was the chocolate. OMG so good. I am not a lover of dark chocolate but the sample we had was sooooo good. Our guide was amazing and funny! Great tidbits about the town as we walked. Worth the money for sure!!!

This was definitely a delicious tour though I did find the food excessive for the time allotted. One suggestion would be to have a smaller quantity of each of the foods tapas size for example. The historical part was interesting but very limited and one thing i would suggest is that the tour guide keep phone calls and other business at bay while leading the tour as it was very distracting.
