My wife and I cannot say enough about this trip. It is family owned and operated and they do an amazing job. You are picked up from your hotel where you will be taken to where the horses are kept. Along the way the tour guide gives you so much interesting history about Costa Rica and well as fun facts. We personally liked learning about Monkey Sidewalks the best. Before you get to the horses, you stop at a little shack where the guide shows you cinnamon bark, vanilla, cocoa trees, citronella plants and mint plants. You are also able to take a picture in front of a very large waterfall Photo 1.

Once you arrive, you are treated with some fresh cut pineapple. Next, you jump on your horse and take off. One of the tour guides dogs actually follows along the whole way with you, which is pretty awesome Photo 8. You are taken into the jungle where you will see wildlife and amazing views. At the bottom of the trail, you go across the first hanging bridge that you will cross before heading back up Photo 3. The guides are also very good about letting you try the local fruit that is along the way. It is literally taken off of trees and given to you to try. Once the horseback riding has concluded, you go on a short drive to the waterfall for a refreshing swim Photo 5 and second hanging bridge Photo 4. There is actually a part on the waterfall where you can jump off of, it is towards the bottom so it is not a far jump, but is totally worth it. It can be a little difficult getting to the safe spot to jump since water is falling on top of you, but that just adds to the experience. Once you have cooled off, you are taken to a family home, where they feed you lunch. This lunch is not just any lunch, it is made at a self-sustaining farm and the food is absolutely mouthwatering Photo7.

We definitely recommend this tour to anyone that has a chance to take it. The tour and family both get an A from my wife and I. We learned so much and so much fun. Thank you Mulguri Adventure!

This was my favorite excursion of our trip. Shaggy was awesome! I highly recommend spending the extra money on a private tour. There were no other tourists to be seen the entire day!

Our tour guide, Mauricio, was amazing! He was very knowledgable and genuine. We saw different wildlife and also got a taste for the culture of a mountain village. Horseback riding was great as well. Loved it! I recommend wearing a bathing suit and throwing on pants over it for the riding.
