After a very long visit to the Collessum in Rome, we were so pleased with the duration of the tour and the excellent presentation by our guide, Irena. The guided tour was fun and informative.

Our Tour Guide was Irene and she was great, she gave us plenty of information about the history of the Arena and it's various uses over the centuries. However, the Arena itself was a bit of a disappointment as there just wasn't that much to see. it may have been due to the timing of our visit as they were busy putting seating away for next summers Opera Season. However if you go along expecting another Rome you will be disappointed. Overall we did not feel this trip was value for money as the whole thing lasted only 30 minutes. That said, we learnt a lot more from Irene than we would have done if we had gone round on our own. Maybe next time a visit when the Opera is on would be a better experience.

This was a fabulous tour with a knowledgeable but not overbearing guide who was friendly from the outset and had to navigate the tour round some terrible weather. She allowed us to drink in the atmosphere of the Arena and provided us with some interesting facts and stories about this fabulous piece of Roman history. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

Very good tour, guide was excellent and gave a lot of information. As we were the only 2 people on the tour we could ask lots of questions.

This was great! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the arena, and passionate about her home town. She had a folder of photos and diagrams of the arena, and the area. And we were really lucky to be there on the afternoon that they were setting up for the Wind Music Awards, so we caught almost all of sound check - Italian Pop Stars everywhere and a free concert!! It was great to see the arena actually being used, by a young audience - culture never ends!!
